Appreciate the quick feedback Matt, the dump is downloadable here:

ROM is (stock) KE7 for the 9100. Thanks again!

Hey xeudoxus, does the deodex tool work with the Xoom? I know there's a deodexed rom one out there, but it's not for my version Xoom... trying to get in the game, ya know.

    It's a GREAT tool. Thx a lot.

SGT (JQ1): Test won't pass on Busybox, even though I do have it installed (1.16.2androidminimal, haven't tried newer versions yet). It also says:

Error occured while loading boot class path files. Aborting.
org.jf.dexlib.Util.ExceptionWithContext: Cannot locate boot class path file bouncycastle.odex

On the other hand, it does pass on Atrix (retail/br 4.50_rev03). I can pull everything, I can deodex framework, but it won't deodex app because an odex needs a class that isn't in the BOOTCLASSPATH. Tried to find where you store BOOTCLASSPATH to add the jar, to no avail. The question is: is there a way to add a jar in BOOTCLASSPATH like -c :whatever.jar in baksmali?

    TIA

I do not understand what you are wanting to do.

No, with a patched version of baksmali you can deodex 3.0/3.1, but you cannot redex (smali) it back. more info

The test.exe is outdated, busybox is not required anymore. The only way to add a bootclasspath is to have me do it (that will change in later versions), but send me a link to the "dump" or upload your app/framework and ill get it patched.

    Matt -

    app/framework: Atrix_RET-BR.zip

The prob is PhotoEditor.apk. I guess we need com.scalado.android.photoeditor.jar in bootclasspath.

Once more, thx for this great tool.

    Matt -

Just finished checking dependencies on Atrix (retail/br). Baksmali needs the following BOOTCLASSPATH:

    core.jar
    ext.jar
    framework.jar
    javax.obex.jar
    services.jar
    android.policy.jar
    com.google.android.maps.jar
    com.motorola.android.camera.jar
    com.motorola.android.datamanager.base.jar
    com.motorola.android.dlna.jar
    com.motorola.android.Firewall.jar
    com.motorola.android.frameworks.jar
    com.motorola.android.iextdispservice.jar
    com.motorola.android.mobad.jar
    com.motorola.android.syncml.jar
    com.motorola.android.widget.jar
    com.motorola.android.wmdrm.jar
    com.motorola.android.telephony.jar
    com.motorola.atcmd.base.jar
    com.motorola.atcmd.pluginMgr.jar
    com.motorola.blur.library.friendfeed.jar
    com.motorola.blur.library.home.jar
    com.motorola.blur.library.messaging.jar
    com.motorola.blur.library.service.jar
    com.motorola.blur.library.utilities.jar
    com.scalado.android.photoeditor.jar

BTW, it would be great if we were able to provide this info to xUltimate via a text file, for example. ;)

during deodexing froyo 2.2.2 (motorolla defy) I get an error for some particular apps like myphonebook.apk or syncmltmo.apk. I tried two different versions of xUltimate (2.2.3 & 2.2.6) and both reported the same error. an image of error is attached.
    any solution?
