ok here are kernels that are going to be released with the upcoming p.e release. Now we just need to find out people opinions. There are a few things we'd like to know.

    1. Previously we were releasing with 1.1 ghz lv kernels. The v6 beta was a 1ghz lv kernel. I would rather keep it down around 1ghz and not use a 1.1 for some people have issues flashing 1.1 kernels. Som epeople ask why 1.05ghz. Well it gives a nice median between 1.0 and 1.1 for those that cannot use a 1.1 they can often use 1.05ghz. The question is what would you all rather see as default speed? choices are 1ghz, 1.05ghz, or 1.1ghz?

    2. as far as speeds go there have been a few people that have mentioned they enjoyed the 1150 slot which is inbetween 1.1ghz and 1.2ghz so woul dyou like to see a kernel at this speed? Then the plan was to have 900mhz 1.0 ghz, 1.05ghz, 1.1ghz, 1.15 ghz (possibly) and 1.2ghz would you like to see any lower speed slots or is 900 ok? would any want an 800mhz speed ?

    3. These kernel will be final for release or they may be tweaked depending on feedback. hope you enjoy and please report your experience

The version of kernels these are v5. They are v5 because there have been other versions in testing but not released.

corcor answered questions and helped with some kernel edits. Also used a modified version of corcors script that lets you compile all kernel speeds and package them up.

Pete has helped answer questions and used some of his kernel mods as well.

    Cvpcs-
thanks to cvpcs for usb tether working and overclocking menu when building kernels (makes it so much easier)

    Project Elite SmartCpu version 5
    the default gov is interactive

all kernels were re uploaded at 4:00pm est so the erro 7 install and wifi issues should be gone. sorry i had the issues last night and thought i fixed. it was due to a packaging problem. whoops:)

People are gonna love these I just know it :D

Been running a 1000 lv of this kernel and my phone
is a jumping jack flash, hehe ;)

one thing that I noticed personally is that 3G and wifi
both were more stable and consistent with this kernel.

Switching to some of these kernels can help improve GSM signal reception on the Droid 2 Global?

I wouldn't mind an 800mhz kernel. Would that improve battery life verse the other higher speeds?

I'm running 800 now with CorCor's and have gotten good life.

Edit: Using 1.0 now. Very smooth so far, no problems installing. Grezy, which governor do you recommend for best battery life?

    thank you greg!

i've tried dl'ing and installing the 1.1Ghz lv one a few times and am getting a status 7 error. 1.05 has no problem installing though.

can't wait to gives these a run. i'll report back if anything seems out of sorts.

to answer question 2, i'd love to see 1.2 and even 1.25 :) thanks again!

    best,

same issue here with the 1.1Ghz LV....

also, all soft keys stopped working after flashing the 1.0Ghz SV and 1.05Ghz LV...?

[EDIT] nevermind....a plain old reboot fixes the soft key issue

[EDIT2] LOL...now wifi is not working....crikey...back to the old kernel

This may be a stupid question, but I am still running 4.2, are these kernels really only meant for the PE gingerbread rom? And if so, perhaps that is where the wifi issue is coming from.

ok, disregard my previous posts, apparently RZR recovery isn't installing the kernals at all (even though it is reporting that they were installed successfully). really strange... i installed the 250-1000 v2 kernal and thats apparently what im left with each time... i'll have to fiddle around with this some more...

ok i just reupped the kernels they should all be fixed now. i flash 4 of them personally so the other two should be fine.
sorry for that inconvenience I initially had the wifi and error 7 problem last night but it was do to the way they were packaged. i thought i had found the issue and fixed it before uploading. Apparently i did not. sorry about that they should all be good now. please report any other issues.

Grezy, a little off topic, but all the teasing with the bits and pieces of info and kernels for the next release is killin me dude! I'm a flashaholic and quite imparsial to PE. All the waiting has me checking for updates more often than normal. Anyway, hope it comes soon and I'm sure it will be great! You just keep working toward the perfection of your last froyo rom. Keep up the great work!
