I tried to install the facebook.apk and it shows the intalling bar and then will tell me "Application not installed". Any thoughts?

Remove it from /system/app before installing

I don't have the facebook loaded on my droid. Just trying to load it fresh from this apk.

if your rooted.... then do this

put the facebook.apk on the root of ur sd card

open terminal and type this.....

su
sys -rw
cp /sdcard/Facebook.apk /system/app
sync

you should be done
keep in mind there is a space before the /sdcard and one before /system
