when you first install the rom the phone is fast and great battery life but after installing a bunch of apps over a few months it seems like its slow now and batter life is down anything i can do about this?

Look and see whats consuming the most battery. Maybe one of the apps you installed could be to blame and also I've noticed that if you don't turn off the phone every few day it does tend to get slow. Simple reboot fixes that.

i still got version 3 and am deffantly ready for an upgrade. can i go straight to 4.8 now?

Yeah, I'd like the 1 percent mod, as well.

I just use circle battery, it shows in the top banner.

Well, this is a total newb question but I've searched high and low... Is there a place to turn off the notification bar toggles? Is there a place to change Steel Droid Settings?

Im going to see about getting v4.8 updated a little. Its nothing super new, but at least its updated, and hopefully optimized a bit more.

Here is my current changlog so far for the next version. Yes, it will still be Gingerbread-based. Its the most stable, and I cant get anything source to build yet, so GB it is. lol

* Updated Nemus Launcher to 1.6.5.3
* Updated Flash Player to 11.1.115.27
* Updated Google Music to 4.4.811H.526848
* Updated Google Play Store to 3.10.10 Modded
* Removed duplicate notification sound setting in build.prop
* Added my custom ringtone, and changed other sound settings
* Added ALL the ringtones, notifications, and alarms from my GNex releases
* Added some experimental build.prop mods
