DE desktop, buahaha.
My DE Desktop Thanks to Koveleski
That's freakin' sick dude. Is that a custom Rainlender skin?
So, I finally tried DarkEdgedancedroid Freaking love it. Installed over sapphire 1.1.4 and works beautifully. Love the lock screen the most.
One thing though. I dont like losing gem settings and most of all, the reboot options from the power button.
Is there any way to run this rom on saphire without losing the above items? And I see that a port for UD1.0 is in the works for UD1.0. Hope this happens!
Darkedge for PC coming to a computer near you?...Should totally release this to the public
I already have Darkedge on my set-up now i just need koves gadgets
There are spots where the UI is impossible to read. An example is the alarm clock (boxes are completely blacked out) and sometimes gmail if I have multiple messages.
I'm going to take screencaps when I get a chance
This just sounds like you didn't get things themed right. What rom did you flash over? For gmail... did you download the latest from the market, move to system using the app transfer inside DarkEdge Tools (available on the market) and then theme using metamorph in conjunction with our apps pack?
I used the project elite rom after rooting my phone, then made a nanodroid backup and installed this UI. I then did those steps that you typed.
The gmail problem occurred early this morning. Typically though so far I can see all the text.
Handcent also was impossible to read until I changed the theme inside of it. Now it matches up with this UI.
But the alarm clock....it's still nasty
Link to the screen shot I made
Since DarkEdge isn't 'ported' to Sapphire, no, there is no way to not lose the gem settings and reboot options at this time. Running DE over Sapphire does offer a smoother experience then stock though, regardless of the lost features.
It's Rainmeter using Gnometer skin with some adjusted graphics. It takes like.. 3 min to get setup and running. At least, that's how fast I got anondrian setup. Works really well for the look though.
Handcent, even with our theming, still requires the 'dark' theme to be chosen in the settings. I'd be interested in seeing the gmail issue as I can't seem to replicate on my device. And as far as alarm clock goes, yours isn't themed period which is why its 'nasty' ... if it was themed. You'd have the minimalist looking clock and not the stock one. For reference, see this screencap:
I did some research and my initial thought was correct. ProjectElite names the clock DeskClock.apk when you install the rom. Inside the DarkEdge theme update, it's named DeskClockGoogle.apk <-- this is because that's how its named in the OTA. Thus, you should have two apks in your system/app folder right now. You'll need to remove the one without the google extension. You should probably have the same issue with Camera, Gallery, Calendar, Email, Music and LatinIME keyboard - as the PEV2 zip has them all named without google in the apk name.
Take a look in your system/app directory.
yea, that was a problem that I noticed
i'm going to re-run the tools and see if that corrects it
