Alright, so my upcoming bill is due on the 20th at the amount of $161.

So what if I were to pay them $145? Would I be able to pay the rest back later on my next bill or what?

Because I'm on a short budget at the moment. Thank You.

They usually let you slide if you're in good standing, but you will get a $5.00 late charge on your next bill for not paying in full.

Oh I see. Also, would this affect my credit score? Just wondering.

I would not think so. Just give them a call and explain the situation. They are usually very polite and will note it in you account that you plan to pay the small remaining balance in the next billing cycle or sooner once you have the funds.

Verizon will not report you to the credit bureaus unless you don't pay them ever and they have to send you to collections.

it takes a few months before they even start calling people. you will be notified about 30 times with a due date before they report you to collections.
