If I backup my SD contents then use the onboard phone SD reformat will it have any ill affects on my root or Chevy rom?

I ask bc apps2sd will not work and I have tried everything short of a reformat. Apps simply say unsuccessfully installed no matter what rom I use if apps2sd is turned on. I want to keep my root and prior backups via rom manager after doing a reformat.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am at whits end

It shouldn't affect the ROM or Root at all. They're based on the internal memory not the SD memory afaik.

Thanks. So that everyone knows if you are having a problem with apps to SD and you are reading this a quick reformat of the SD fixes it at least for me. I was unable to download ANY apps if apps2sd was on but after the reformat it is working as intended.
