With the Note 7 debacle Samsung's quality control on the Galaxy S8 pretty much needed to be perfect. It looks like users in South Korea are already complaining of a defect. According to a Korean Herald report some users who pre-ordered the device are complaining that the display features a weird reddish hue that can not be corrected. Samsung has already responded by saying the reddish tint is not a quality issue and that users should reconfigure the display in settings.

According to an industry analyst Samsung used a deep red technology for color balance in the S8. With the rush to mass produce the phones they didn't have time to properly configure the color balance hence the reddish tint in the displays. Samsung suggest having your unit exchanged at the service center if you can not configure the reddish tint out of your display. Hopefully Samsung will quickly and officially address this issue.

Can't you chose the temperature of colors on new phones? Someone could have picked warmer color palette?
