Jesus is the secret of my success!

So I followed your directions here and all went well. I created a nandroid backup but I have a question. After the backup is complete and I reboot back into my phone, what is the reason for going to ROM Manager? I have it installed but isn't it only for flashing custom ROMS? If I have made a backup using CWM Touch and that is all I want to do, do I need to perform the other steps in your process? Also step 7 & 8 seem the same. I have ROM Manager 5.0.0.8 and at the very top it says Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery, is that the same as your step 9? I thought by doing step 3 I have already flashed CWM onto my phone, and could enter it using the volume and power key method. Then once in I could restore a backup. Is ROM Manager just a GUI method to do the same? Lots of questions I know, but I new to this and want to be educated about it. Thanks. Great work by the way.

So I think I have figured some things out. It seems I don't actually have CWM installed on my phone, but rather I can boot into it as long as I can boot my phone completely to begin with. So although I have created a backup, I can't actually restore it unless I can boot into ICS fully, is this correct? Or is there some way I can boot into CWM with my phone off by using some sort of button method. Is there any ClockWorkMod that you can boot into from the powered off state? Thanks again.

Thats my golden question of the day but ive seen other places where this question has been ask but for some strange reason it never gets a answer...i want to unstall as will but dont see a option for it and go back to safestrap 2.0 but i dont want to install safestrap until i fully know this CWM touch is off my razr completely.

If you have not fixed it yet you might need to reflash it using the fastboot files. If you hold down both volume keys and the power key it will boot into stock recovery. Download the fastboot file from here Droid-Developers SBF, if you have a CDMA Verizon Phone. If not then do a Google search to find them. Use the instructions from this site to perform the reflash How To Restore the Motorola Droid RAZR Using Fastboot Files - TheUnlockrTheUnlockr. Good luck, hopefully this information applies to your device.

You have a ROM installed, which probably means you have safe strap correct? If that is the case you CAN NOT have this installed along with safe strap.

So if that is the case you bricked your phone not this program. You are going to have to do what others suggested and use the fast boot files to get you back to stock.

Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX.

Well, I have it installed, and it works perfectly. I can use either the touch screen or the volume and power buttons. I did a backup and also installed CWM on Boot, so now it boots to the CWM Touch every time. Very nice.

Love the blue ICS on Black theme.
