I booted into clockwork and went to my nandroid backup. Recovery. Etc. DRM mismatch comes up. I've been having problems with bugless beast 0.4 with black glass and want to go back to stock and start over. Any way to recover this? all the information is still in the clockwork file.

Well I was hoping to recover my backup. I was running rooted 2.2 FROYO. Us like to go back, install the update and re theme it with black glass. When I try to reflash my backup it says DRM mismatch. I've flashed in that recovery before I don't know why its suddenly not working.

Do you use ROM Manager? If so, that's your culprit right there.

I could offer a quick workaround, if you're interested.

Yeah I'm running rom manager with clockwork. I've flashed it back before it's just not working now. I'm open to any suggestions. Ill keep this rom before I flash to bone stock lol. Oh and keep in mind while I finally got my computer running I need to use PDA net for internet.

PDA Net? If you're rooted, ditch it and go to the third link and use that -- unless you already bought PDA Net, in which case ditch it and go with the third link. No program needed on the PC you're using it on, just a driver.

Okay, ROM Manager is glitchy. Ask any member of the Rescue Squad and they'll tell you horror stories about it. I've seen my share and I haven't been doing this for eight months. :) You're better off without it and doing things manually. ROM Manager has even corrupted CW Recovery installs during simple reboots, if you can believe it.

    http://bit.ly/frg01b

Install that from CW and it'll give you a bone-stock-but-rooted FRG01B install.

When you say you want to "start over", though, did you mean you wanted to try another ROM or just stick rooted-stock for a while?

If you want a rooted FRG22D (the latest/greatest) stock ROM, let me know and I'll dig one of those up for you.

I use my phone for internet on my computer. I'd like to recover my rooted 2.2. Or I'm thinking black glass is what's giving me issues. I just can't remember how to de theme.

To de-theme you have to wipe and install a new ROM or install the backup you made just prior to the theme install.

Black Glass shouldn't give you any problem, and BB should be fine (if out of date and that's why all the update notifications unless the patch fixed it for you). It's up to you, though. I use the Google Code USB tethering app because it provides a lot more options and flexibility for tethering than PDA Net and Easy Tether do. It's up to you, though.

Would you like the FRG22D rooted ROM to flash over instead of the FRG01B? I don't know if the FRG01B would give you update notices or not.

Well I'm on bugless V0.4 at the moment. So basically I just need to reflash bugless off my SD card? if I get rid of rom manager how will I boot into clockwork? it seems to work when it wants to. I'd hate to ditch rom manager and be stuck with my stock recovery image. I can't do anything from there lol

ROM Manager and ClockworkMOD Recovery are not one and the same.

Reboot your phone. Hold down the X and keep holding it from the moment the phone powers down till you reboot into recovery. Give it a try. If it won't work you have an issue.

I'm joining late so I may be missing something,

If I understand correctly, you can not restore a backup you made with clockwork. I'm not clear if you want to keep BB without the black glass theme. If that is what you want and you can go to the BB site, download the update.zip file, mount your phone, copy the update.zip to your SD card (make sure you only have one update.zip file and that it only has one ".zip" extension). Unmount your phone, and boot into recovery
    The options are:
    -reboot system now
    -apply sd card:update.zip
    -wipe data/factory reset
    -wipe cache partition
    -install zip from sd card
    -nandroid
    -partitions menu
    -advanced
Use the install from SD card option and you can install BB 4.

    Hope this is helpful.

Welcome to the party, Mike. I've been kinda going by ear on this one because I'm not 100% sure either. :) Thanks for the input -- I may have been going about it 100% wrong. :D
