So maybe I am dating myself but back in the day when the TV reception sucked we stuck a wire hanger on the antenne and voila, reception improved since we had increased the area of the anettena (I guess), giving us free reign of a full palette of 7 channels of broadcast TV.
So why can't I do something similar with my horrendous Verizon reception? I mean it really sucks and I am in a major city with a solid red map.
A) Did the coat hanger trick really not work and I am just having a false memory?
B) Since the TV signal was analog and the Verzion signal is digital (I guess?) does that has some impact?
C) They don't make coat hangers like they used to?
I have the big ass battery with the off brand cover, I know that may have an impact, plan on cleaning all contacts, testing with brand cover, etc.
Also I frequently have 4-5 bars of signal but no connection. Are the bars just a scam that mean little or does this mean my carrier cannot handle
the bandwidth so I am being queued or throttled or what have you?
Thanks!!
