So this is the ONLY 2.2 ROM that I've been able to run on my phone without getting the dreaded random reboots and I absolutely love it.

The only thing I've noticed from time to time when I'm playing with the phone, is that it loses reception (Bars and 3G). It's almost like it reboots because the bars and 3G go blank, then a couple of seconds later I get a few bars and it shows me 1x and then 3G.

It's never done this while I'm on the phone or anything, so I was mainly wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if there's a fix for it.

    Thanks

ive never personally experienced this issue before would i have one thing to suggest for you that may solve your problem.

dial #228 and then do the activation thing.
if dialing #228 doesnt work or something then just dial #22899 and that'll skip you having to press the numbers 1 or 2.

    i hope that helps you

I would try what NeverEndingXsin said. I never lose 3G and my bars don't really fluctuate that much. I am also in a very good coverage area though.

I found that I got a lot of bouncing back and forth between 1x and 3G when I had Pete's ultimate baseband installed. I went back to C_01.3E.03P and it's been much better.

Interesting. I am using C_01.43.01P and have not had one problem with it. It has been the best yet.

Same - I'm getting 1-2 bars more than I usually do in low reception areas with the 1.43.01P. I'd lose reception with the old baseband in my room several times a day. :/

I'll give that a try and see if it helps. Thanks.

That's the baseband I'm currently running.

Got a link to the new baseband so I can try it in case I'm still having these issues?

There's a sticky for the new baseband. It's worth a shot if you're having problems with the old baseband.

    Just a quick update.

I installed the new baseband and it works great! Definitely getting more bars in some of the low reception areas.
