Recent folder

Does anyone know to remove the recent folder from storing all your recent activity? Is there an app to clear it? If I try and rename it it will it prevent saving recent activity? Can I just delete it somehow? Help.

"recent folder"? are you referring to when you hold home and see all the recently used apps? clearing the cache of your phone should do it
recovery mode (hold home and power)
press search
clear cache (browse with volume buttons + press camera)
reboot phone

What if,, and this is a separate issue as well,,,my actual home button is inoperable

From another post, I saw that the phone must be off first to go into recovery mode,, it worked but now still, my home button is not working
