Receiving texts

So I have noticed that when people send me a fairly long text I get a message saying pick up your MMS at : (website) and then a MMS ID. Why is this? Is this something that I cam change in my settings or is it something that's happening on the senders end?

Some carriers restrict the length of a text message and convert it to a MMS. This is typically done if there is a file or photo attached. You should check with your carrier as to their rules.
