    My droid got destroyed.
I got a new phone today - stock.
Sorry for the dumb question, but I not sure of the sequence I have to do now. Do I have to obtain root first? I have the sd card from my old phone, but not sure what I have to install to get my titanium backup to the point where I can run the backup.
    Has anyone done this?

Does that process work for 2.2 phones as well? I'm getting my replacement Wednesday and will be looking into it. I know there is also a program in the market that will give you root.

what condition were your replacement phones in? i'm considering doing an exchange due to keyboard issues but am nervous of the phones condition i might receive.

it wouldn't be through assurion but through the normal vzw warranty exchange.

I'm a bibit worried about that too to be honest. Mines far from mint. Scratches on the screen and the area around the screen all over (I should leave it home when I go out drinking ...). I can let you know how they receive my phone.
