Every time I download a new file like a custom boot logo and it tells me I need to reboot into clockworkmod recovery. It reboots and gets passed the boot logo then freezes before it gets to animation. Idk if I have a setting wrong or what. I need help!

Try this then. Install ROM Manager from the market, go into it and click flask Clockwork Recovery, select your phone, give it su permission when it asks, then when it says its done click boot into clockwork recovery and it should work.

It still froze when I did it. Do I need to put it in bootstrap recovery before I do it?

Try doing it a few times. It doesn't always take on the first go.

I have tried many different things and it still wont let me reboot into recovery when installing an app. Is there a way to know if my deodex installed correctly?

So you're on gingerbread? I would hold off on doing any mods like that on gingy. Restore a backup or reflash the rom to fix the issue.

Yeah I would agree with the RS guy, I was doing fine on the leak but the deodex caused a problem and a bootloop.. couldn't even get to factory restore real pain. I would stick with just the leak or the rooted release from TBH, all worked for me.
