Reboot istead of power off?

Hi all, I'm a new member here.

I tried to search this topic and I found a lot of undesired reboot stuff but nothing like this one. I may have missed one, if I did I'm sorry.

About 1 in 3 times when I try to power off my Droid (Moto A855), instead of shutting off, it re-starts after powering down. This usually happens after it has been heavily used.
Any help or a pointer to an existing thread will help. Thanks.

My phone used to do this on Froyo. I am nit sure of a fix, but it seems that only Motorola phones have this problem.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm worried that its ready to self destruct... I guess it'll live then. :)

Plugged in

I've noticed that if my droid is plugged into the wall, and I shut it down, it reboots (restarts). But if it is not plugged in, shutdown stays shut-down.

It's always done that. Had mine for two years. It's a Motorola thing or just the a855.
