I have a rooted Droid X (verified with Root Checker). I want to read from an external USB stick.

I downloaded "Paragon NTFS ... for Android" from Google Play, which appears to support this.

When I start Paragon, it immediately fails, complaining about the absence of FUSE (Filesystem in userspace). The Paragon error message recommends that I update my phone's software!

Does anyone know of a fix or some other app (or ROM)?

    Thank you

More properly called USB Host Mode.

I have researched this extensively and nowhere do I even find a claim of anyone doing this with a Droid X. It appears to require Honeycomb or higher and hardware support. Perhaps more.
