I am rooted and running HeXen. Why with root explorer am I denied access to files that are "read only"??? I thought once I was rooted I would have full control over my phone.......what do I need to do to edit these R/O files?

Are you pressing the the little tab near the top that toggles between R/O & R/W?

I think there is a setting in explorer you have to change first.

If you mean setting root explorer to r/w. I did that.

Try this. Remove it from the SU app and then open it back up and make sure it has SU rights for sure. If that doesn't work can try File Expert. Its free and I believe it has root permissions.

    end of line...

There is a little button in the upper left/center that is labeled Mount R/W. That's what you need to hit.
    It's highlighted in blue here.

I can't believe I kept over looking it! Thanks!

Now I can finally shut R2D2 up. I love the little guy, but when my phone reboots in the middle of a meeting, its embarrassing.

    Thanks again!

I was using a custom ROM on my D2G that had the R2D2 sound included, and I used it as a message notification. It went off one night at a restaurant, and my waiter grabbed his pocket. When I pulled my white D2G out, we shared a laugh because he'd thought it was his R2D2 going off in his pocket. I love that little guy.
