I just downloaded and installed 2.0.1 software update for my Motorola Droid on verizon network and now when I power off the phone and turn it back on, the bottom keys on the phone (Home key, back key, etc. dont light up and neither does the key board. I have to put the phone in to sleep mode and wake it up again to get the lights to work and come one or make a call or touch my brightness settings to get it to come on. I need to re download and install the firmware to see if it fixes this. How can I re install 2.0.1 though?

That is a known issue with 2.0.1.

Is it supposed to be fixed in 2.1 release?

Seems pretty petty. Personally my phone is very rarely, if ever, actually turned off. Usually only if I'm modifying files, etc and need to reboot.
