In the end, you have to do whats right for YOU. I think the GS3 is a fantastic phone. What I have found that I look for in a phone is build quality, interface and dependability. I feel that the Razr HD will do that for ME over the GS3. The battery is actually pretty damn good on the GS3. I don't think the MAXX HD is necessary, the Razr HD is only about 7500MAh less than the MAXX HD. I'll definitely post my own review if it would be helpful. I'm excited either way. :)

750 mah that would be. Cause 7500 would be a whole lot of battery

The gs3 is amazing. Much better than I expected. Battery is crazy good. Holds 4g incredibly well. And screen ofc.

Opposite for me, I had the GS3 for 2 days and didn't like it, my Thunderbolt w/ extended battery lasted twice as long, and the GS3 has a blue tint to the display and you can see the pixels when looking closely.

blue tint? thats the first I've heard of that on the s3... and why would u compare a stock battery vs an extended battery? not to mention that everyone I know couldn't get more than 6 hours out of a stock thunderbolt

Actually I've read the s3 display has a certain greenish tint that some people don't like. That being said my RAZR has a slight blue especially looking at it from an angle. Doesn't bother me though

I have never heard of a tint on the s3. On my bionic it has a very very very small blue tint to it when you look at it off angle.

I prefer the Droid RAZR Maxx HD

I would get the RAZR Maxx HD over the S3 any day. Now they made the design of the Maxx HD more rounded than on the Maxx which I
love and the battery Is even better. Plus the screen difference between the S3 and Maxx HD is only 0.1 inches. Lastly the S3 crushed the Maxx when it came to specs but the Maxx HD is on the same level if not higher than the S3.

Really in the end the only difference between the phones in my opinion is the battery (Maxx HD),
Design (I prefer the Maxx HD over the plastic look and feel of S3),and the RAM
    (S3)

Once more I want to say how much I dislike the bubble shaped plastic toys Samsung calls phones. Speaking from experience.

How does 1gb of ram put the razr HD on the same level as the 2gb on the S3? With the amount of applications being used I see this as a pretty good advantage to the s3.

It will only make a difference for games. I have never experienced lag on my og RAZR with 1gb of ram. Although i was surprised they didn't come with more ram
