I've noticed randomly the Maxx, when booting up, will leave the screen really dark, almost where I didn't think it was coming on, but then looked closer and actually could see the "M" logo, it was just very dim. Eventually it brightened to normal. It's only done this once when coming out of being asleep, but a handful of times booting up. Replacement in the future?
