I just got my MAXX, havent rooted it, yet, but my SMSPopup doesnt seem to be working correctly. I like for my contacts to have the same notification as their ringtone so I know who is calling/texting me. I put the MP3 files on the internal card in both Ringtones and Notifications folder... created a Contact Notification, set the notification tone, changed the color of the LED light to blue from the normal notification color (yellow) and changed the vib pattern, and what I get is the standard default ringtone and all texts have the special color (blue).
SMSPopup worked great on my Droid(1) and Droid 3.
