That's pretty awesome. I'm torn between liking the idea of their proprietary parts or disliking them for it. It sounds like a massive version of Project Ara.

I would imagine each module will have an nVidia or AMD card, motherboards made by different manufacturers etc.

I wonder if the manufacturers will sell parts on their sites or if you have to get them exclusively through Razer?

I've always wanted to build a desktop. I have never owned one since every time I went to buy one the pre-configured ones never had what I wanted.

I was thinking more along the lines of dumping $2000 into it. I start googling stuff, lose interest, and then fire up my laptop for some gaming.

This project could change that.
