Randomly losing internet connection

Every once in awhile I'll randomly lose internet connection. There is no rhyme or reason, I will be in a very good coverage 4g area and none of my settings are set to disconnect data. When I'm not connected I check the settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I've got a stock phone.

Does this happen to anyone else? Suggestions? TIA!

Oh my God, YES! It is very infuriating. Last night It switched from 4G to 3G in my home. Where i always have 4G. I waited and waited and it didn't switch back to 4G so I turned on and off airplane mode and got 4G back. Random data loss happens to me. quite a few times the last few days. it happens A LOT when I'm tethering. I'm not even talking about root my phone tether but the stock USB Tethering. I'm afraid to download large files because i'll lose the data connection. A new thing i noticed is that sometimes my 4G gets very slow. it says 4G but i do a speed test and the speed is less than 3G speeds. I was about to call Verizon but I'll wait a couple of days. Maybe it's a Verizon problem.
