Ive been having random reboots since upgrading from 4.96. The problem now is that every few times I get a reboot, it will freeze on the SS boot screen (animation spinning) and will not move past. The weird thing is that the volume controls work when it is frozen on this screen and the screen can be turned on and off with the power button.

I've tried several different kernels, different speed settings, did several full (real) wipes, and still have this problem. The only way I can seem to get out of it is to do a battery pull and do a nandroid restore.

    Any ideas?

Have you followed the instructions for the particular ROM you are running? There are suggestions there for your issue ... you also didn't mention which version you are running

Sorry, i'm running 5.1 unthemed with the MV 1.0 kernel. I had it running nicely again this morning, but I restarted it just now and it stuck in the SS booting screen again. It just spins indefinitely. This happens every time the phone has to restart, and can only seem to be cleared by flashing back to my 5.01 nandroid backup.

I went through all the suggested steps for install and it doesn't seem to help. Maybe my phone is just allergic to this 5.01 and 5.1?

It's a shame because when 5.1 is running, it's magnificent!!!!!

Have you tried wiping CACHE from recovery?

Which recovery are you using - it has been my experience that sometimes cache does not get completely wiped - if you can run a logcat while it is bootlooping that would help me greatly.

Just wanted to say, I got it working! This rom is super-smooth! It turned out that changing from the 1.0 MV kernel to the 1.0 LV kernel fixed the issue entirely.

Only big issue I still have is the camera quirkiness, but that's a known issue.

    Great work Chevy!!
