how to update?

It's in the op as stated above.

Download and save file to sd-ext!!!

Boot into recovery.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Under mounts and storage format system.
Under advanced wipe dalvik cache.
Select install zip from sd.
Select location you saved it to.
Finally select the 1.8 zip.

I see you figured it out, but now it's here for those who don't know or don't want to look back. LOL!

Did anyone else lose all their data when they flashed 1.8?

I downloaded and everything seems to be working smoothly..don't forget to factory reset, wipe cache, format system and wipe delvik before flashing.

Lol yea I did run the script and I've got to say this thing is moving without a hitch...with the powerboost from 1.7 I was getting almost 15 hours battery life with normal usage..hopefully ill see the same here.
