If I were to root my phone would I be able to receive any update from google? or would I have to unroot first? also how easy is it to unroot?

Also, I looked around for quite a bit, but couldnt find out what all this was.....

Whats Busybox, Flash/Recovery, Framework-res used for?

First things first. You would probably want to disable the ability to receive OTA updates. That's as simple as changing one filename. You'll always be able to download the updates and force them yourself.

When you have modified you phone's OS there is no telling what an update could do to your phone.
Blocking ota's is just a safety precaution.
Would hate to wake up and find that an update had just bricked your phone while you slept, right?
