Save BetterCut shortcuts when upgrading my ROM?

When I upgrade from BB 0.7.4 to .5, is it possible for me to keep my custom BetterCut icons? It's a huge pain to have to re-create them if my Home is wiped clean.

You can back up your apps including your Better Cut app in Astro or something similar that can back up apps to the sdcard. I did this today with Pure Calender Widget, and whenever I restored and reinstalled all my apps, my calender was still set up exactly how I had it before I did a wipe.....complete with events I had put on certain days and everything

I'm not sure that the shortcuts are saved by BetterCut. The shortcuts are more a part of the home layout than they are possessions of the BetterCut program itself.

    Anyone using BetterCut with ROMs?

You can try creating a folder and placing all the icons into it and then back up that folder...

I assume that you refer to creating a folder on the Droid's homescreen, not on the SDCard, yes? If so, how can I go about backing up such a folder?

I doubt that the home screens' layout is stored on /data.

Youve never backed up/restored have you? Yes, it IS stored in /data. All the upgrades are to /system, he abandoned doing the easy uninstall thing because of upgrading, so only system is touched now. The EASIEST way to update roms WITHOUT using the rom.tgz method is through only updating boot and /system or just /system.
