What's the process of getting them onto your phone? or using them. Like the 800mhz processor for example

download onto your comp and then drag/drop onto the sd card when it's hooked to usb?

Download, save to desktop, rename to update, copy to root of SD card, go to SPrecovery, install, allow update.zip installation, then update it.

    Hope it helps,

    For SPrecovery:

Mount the usb after hooking up the Droid to your cpu.
Open the containing folder of the kernel you downloaded in update.zip format.
Open my computer and your Droid so you see the root SD
Rename the kernel to "update" since it is in zip format (you do this in the containing folder)
Drag the kernel (which is now named "update" and is in .zip format) onto the root of the SD card
    Unmount, reboot in recovery
    *backup*
    Allow update.zip installation
    Install update.zip
    Reboot

You CAN use SetCPU from the market to OC the phone, or you can use BB since it does it on it's own. It's your call. The difference is basically the profiles I believe. I let Pete's Beast do it's thing and my battery life is awesome on 1.1

*not responsible to what you do to your phone*

If they are in update.zip format, yep. So the smoked glass, stock, and nextheme in the 1.1 thread are done the same way.

People use metamorph too but I'm not really sure when it works/doesn't work and how you do it.

I find using SPRecovery and update.zip to be really easy and painless

Just remember to delete old update files when you do the next install so you dont end up with update(1) etc. I'm actually not sure if it works or not but I don't risk it haha
