    "bootanimation.zip" is a symlink to either firstboot.zip or realbootanimation.zip

On v0.2.0 we have introduced another bootanimation called queuebootanimation.zip

To change the bootanimation, replace the realbootanimation.zip file.

Note that replacing "bootanimation.zip" your custom will get overwritten on next reboot.

Also Note that placing bootanimation.zip into /data/local/ will be deleted on next reboot automatically.

    ;)

May I ask why these changes were made? Sounds like the setup that you're describing will override changes that *we* choose to make.

If *you* choose to make changes, *you* still can. Just follow the above guidelines and everything will be fine.
