    Wondering if anyone know:
    1. Does wake with a key other than the power button work when you have security enabled on an exchange account

    2. Can a button serve to functions, so for example the mic button on the buttom right corner wakes the screen and if the screen is on activates the voice control

    thanks a million

    1. Nope, won't work. I have Touchdown for my EAS and it removes the full device security requirement so any key will wake and no device pw required. It only requires a pw for the Touchdown app after a reboot.

    2. See #1 - only power button will wake if you have a security policy enabled through EAS. Install Touchdown and any key will wake, in combination with NoLock, a free app in the market.

Root or no root, the EAS security policy and power button wake can't be overridden.

sure you can change the keymap. just modify the following file:

    /system/usr/keylayout/cdma_venus2-keypad.fl

i've just change the last two lines
by change the very last line you can modify the function of the key on the rightside of the phone, and the second last line is the voicecommand key on the right-bottom of keyboard
here is what that looks like on my phone:

    key 247 ALT_RIGHT
    key 246 SIDE WAKE

    wish it may help you
