I'm trying to free up system memory and to do that I need to get rid of some apps. There are a few apps that really don't need to be in system. I'll list a few apps that I think can and or should go. I won't name all of them so you guys can definitely throw something out there if you want to see them gone.

    Corporate Calendar
    Car Home
Chrome To Phone (Available in Market)
    DSP Manager
Email (not gmail, just regular mail)
    Facebook (Available in Market)
    Live Wallpapers
    Rom Manager (Available in Market)
    Spare Parts (Available in Market)
    Wireless Tether (Available in Market)

    Post up your opinions kids.

Ok... the items available in the market certainly omit, I am not a live wallpaper guy either. I guess my question is how space are you trying to acquire?

I say get rid of Corporate Calendar, Live Wallpapers and Email.
The apps that are in the Market will just have to be re-downloaded after the refresh

Don't worry dude, I would have needed a resounding response to even contemplate it. Its a small file as is, but enough people us it for me not to get rid of it.

how many people actually use the DSP manager? I messed around with it once and it seemed almost pointless to have. I accept that this is a personal feeling that no one else shares. As for other apps to drop:

Everything that is available in the market (if the user has the choice to download it, let them choose.)
Car Home (the 2.2 Car Home is useless for driving)

Personally, I'd be happy to see all of those apps gone. It would be awesome if ads were off by default too.

I personally love Droid 2 live wallpaper, I'd hate to see it go..

Great rom by the way =)~

*SUGGESTION* Perhaps you could make all of these apps optional.. Like a separate file to download that contains these apks, and we could just choose which ones we need. I don't know, just a thought. That could make things a little easier.

DSP is one I actually think is awesome...I love EQ's...when traveling or commuting I use my phone for playing music whether from the sd card or streaming Pandora. Love it and use it daily.

What I would like is to find a way to tie it to when the phone is playing music, and then when it isn't, it unloads rather than using memory.

Along that same line of thought, being able to adjust the behavior of many of these programs would take care of a lot of things. I.E. load when another program calls for it, unload when you close it.
...and that leads back to a previous post by me...many programs terminate differently...and leaving the owner not knowing whether it is closed or not.

I know the OS memory management is supposed to do this, but I think not so well maybe...

I don't use corporate calendar (don't see it in 2.2 anymore anyway though ), live wallpapers, stock email (I use K-9 instead) , news & weather widget is dodgy anyway.
    Where's DSP Manager?

+1 for getting rid of Twitter. It's in the Market if it's wanted, and Twicca smokes it anyway.

I agree with the first post

The only one I care about is dsp.
I use it to set the profiler but thats it.

if I can download it from the market remove it.
