Question for devs re: the lighted keys

Now that 2.1 is out, is there any provision to allow developers to turn off those %$^& hard key lights?

Night Clock is still blinding me at night.

And while you are at it...

Make a "night mode" that changes all of the blindingly bright white to a darker color? My GPS can do it, why can't my Droid?

not a fix but, if u power off your droid before putting it in the cradle the hard key lights do not turn on.

1. power down Droid
2. place in cradle(Droid will power up automatically)
3. thats it! works great with alarm clock or Lightning Bug.

hope this helps. i do this every night before i crash. i used to hate those bright lights!
