Engadget just released a story saying Verizon will be pushing Gingerbread to the Droid X on Friday with the Droid 2 probably soon to follow. I rooted my D2 shortly after I got it a couple months ago. Does anyone know if I will be able to get this update over the air, or will I need to unroot? I have not installed any custom roms. I mainly rooted to get rid of a lot of the VZW bloatware and to have the ability to tether. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I understand by removing the bloatware you will not receive the OTA update.
