Hey, noob here who just rooted for the first time. I was just curious about using the wireless tether after I've rooted my phone. I know that Verizon only gives a 5gb download limit per month on my phone, but does that still apply while using the wireless tether?

Basically: Do I need to worry about using too much data/getting caught tethering through my phone?

:welcome: to the forums. Please know these things. VZW gives a 'general' 5gB/month bandwidth. That does not mean only downloads but uploading some of the info from your phone (albiet small) as well. Also know that technically, 'tethering' without a broadband ($59/mo) plan with VZW is in violation of VZW's TOS (Terms of Service).

So with all that stuff out of the way, anything you do with your phone that uses bandwidth will be recorded. Using wireless tethering does not somehow make it hidden. Use your own discretion.

    good luck
