Sorry for the thread, I know there is a lot of rom threads, but I'm flashing too sholes 2.0.3 and its asking me to choose my "bashc". Its giving me an option of Linux/Mac or Windows non-colored. What one do I choose? thanks

    If you reflash the ROM.

Yeah but reflashing the ROM is exactly what you're doing right now.....not that hard is it?

And I just assumed that the bashrc thing....depended on what you personally have....if you have windows pick windows

If you have linux or a mac, pick the other one that says linux/mac....wouldn't that make sense?? Or am I missing something?

    It's just an appearance option.

yeah it wasn't bad at all :) I just have so many questions now lol. I thought getting this sholes rom gave me 5 screens an the new launcher by default? I mean i had the leaked 2.1 launcher installed but I thought it came with this rom. Am I missing something?

does your home screen still look like it did when you bought your droid? Same app screen, 3 screens?

I kinda wanted at least the new app drawer with this update or something visually different.

The option to install the nexus one app drawer is there I am guessing you just did not use it.

that sucks, did that have to do with the windows vs linux option? If not what was the other option that I had to choose from? And can i go back an change it?

EDIT: I was looking through the sticky for the sholesmod updater and I saw where it asked to install the 2.1 launcher. Also under that catergory was the wifi tether, and I do have that installed. So is there some setting I have to go to, to enable it?

The difference is that in Linux (and Mac) the prompt has colors different colors for things (Directories are Blue, executable files are green, links are cyan, etc.)

In Windows, using adb, those things do not work and it shows some codes instead.

The 2.1 launcher (nexus app drawer) is quite buggy ... I recommend that you do not use it. If you want to try it (and if you installed the 2.1 launcher), then you can install the app home switcher and pick launcer2 for your home screen.

You'll notice it in the terminal emulator on the phone AND when connecting over adb. If you primarily connect to the droid via adb from a linux PC, pick the linux option and you get nicely colored prompts and ls colors. Otherwise, pick windows/other.

Technically, you did not pick it when you rooted, you picked when you installed the sholes rom.
