My job quite frequently takes me into Canada, and I have a question regarding the functions of the phone north of the border. Will I have to put my phone in "airplane mode" to keep from inadvertently racking up roaming data charges, or will the phone do this automatically when I switch to roaming? I coming from a Palm Centro without a data plan, because I needed a phone that was able to manage a spreadsheet, with out going the whole smart phone route. I never worried about SMS rates while roaming, because they amounted to less than $3/month, but I did set MMS messages to not download while roaming. Id rather not be surprised when my bill comes in the mail. Thanks!
