1. Yes it is nice. Go check out the first CM threat that was posted in thDX roms forum. I put my analysis of the rom. Id link it but im on my phone. Decide from that if u wanna try it, but i say go for it.
2. I believe.. from my understanding is that you are on the froyo kernel, but its a gingerbread based ROM. So you will SBF back to froyo to install the rom, but from there, i believe you can flash any froyo rom over CM if you dont like it. Obviously with data and cache wipes first but i believe your already on the froyo kernel
