I plan to be going up to Canada soon, only to Toronto though, does GPS and 3G service work fine there? I plan to use my Droid to find my way around, will there be any extra charges?

I know 3g does, i dont think gps does

i would def call up verizon to figure out roaming charges

they can even give you a prorated international roaming plan for your stay

GPS will be fine. Don't know about Google Maps but Google Maps != GPS. It's just an app that uses GPS.

GPS will work fine but in order for it to be useful, it'll have to download map data, which does require a data connection. Pretty sure Verizon will nail you on data roaming charges unless you work something out ahead of time.
