Zero. Android doesn't have virii.
Don't mean to hijack here, but are you saying that I really don't need AVG installed on my Android phone? I only download from safe sources....

That's a forced ad. I get them when I visit android authority. There isn't anything wrong with your phone.

I have a hard time believing Android Authority serves that on purpose.

OP: Four "Virus" Android Removal - Mobile Security Zone

Miklb58: no. Those programs just slow your phone down. If you only get apps from the Play Store and are careful surfing the web... You don't need any AV on any phone (iPhones, too)

None of those ways worked. There wasn't an app called locate 4 viruses and i don't have an option in settings called "security".

When i did that, my phone froze. No buttons but the finger print button worked. Use that to go off and on. Seems to be ok now.

Thanks!

Edit: actually everything is running way faster now! Thank you!

A friend of mine just got the exact same message, wording and all, visiting NFL.com on his phone

Yea. It's the ad service they use not the website. Embedded ads. I see it more frequently when I'm reading news off my feed.

I didn't say android authority did. They don't control their ads. Someone they sold adspace to using adsense, ad maven, chitika etc is pushing it.

That's just an ad. I've been an Android user for users and I've never installed an AV before. As long as you practice safe browsing you should be good.
