Apparently, nearly every smartphone OEM in the industry has rallied behind Qualcomm in defense of the Snapdragon 810 processor. A press release was issued, which is basically a rallying cry in support of the new chipset from Qualcomm. None other than LG, Motorola, OPPO, Sony, Xiaomi and even Microsoft all made their case in the combined press release.

They all had nothing but praise for the chipset, which throws more fuel on the fire of speculation that Samsung purposefully bad-mouthed the chipset. Regardless of whether that is true or not, it seems obvious that these specific OEMs want it to be made clear that they believe in the chipset and in Qualcomm.

One of the big reasons this press release was issued was because Qualcomm's stock took a big hit from all of the ruckus drummed up in the media surrounding this issue. Check out the press release in the thread below and then let us know if this allays any fears you might have head surrounding the Snapdragon 810 chipset.

Wait. Didn't LG just come out a little while ago and admit that they knew it had heat issues & working around them...?

Sure, running hot doesn't = a bad chip, but c'mon here guys...

Well of course Samsung will want to push Exynos. That's a given. Qualcomm has become the processor brand and really cornered the market. I can't wait for some of the new phones coming out this year.

And Samsung never said it had a heating issue. It was speculation on the part of bloggers.

I wouldn't count out Mediatek. Once they can get their hands on a good GPU Qualcomm's premium priced hardware days are over.

I read that as well. Perhaps it's minor and has been over exaggerated.

I meant if they found a reasonable workaround, no big deal, nutrient come out & say it has some issues & then jump to defend it.
