The thing is, closed, it just looks like a run-of-the-mill portrait QWERTY slider. Actually, it looks a bit like a Blackberry Storm. But it definitely doesn't look like anything gaming related until it is opened.

I really don't see the Playstation tie-in, though, since this thing is an Android device. To me, it's just a Sony-Erricson device with good gaming controls. Unless this thing dual boots the PSP OS, the closest it's going to come to being a true PSP phone is thru the PSX4Droid emulator.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, though. This thing looks like it will ROCK for emulator gaming. I've often thought that given the (lack of) quality of the DROID's keyboard, the space would have been better taken up by dedicated gaming controls.

I call fake (regarding the image) - for one reason, and one reason only.

The menu refers to using the A button for Enter, and B for Back. There are no A and B buttons, if the interface matched the device it would say to hit the X button for Enter, and the Square button for Back (or at least that's how I remember the PSX convention being for controls)

And let's not forget the PSP Go model of the PSP, which was basically designed to look more 'professional' and targeted an older demographic that didn't want to carry around a big, bulky device and a bunch of UMD discs.

    And the Gameboy Advance SP.

Gaming <> Targeted to the younger demographic

They explained the whole a and b button issue earlier. That is from an early prototype that was never intended for any outsiders to see, testing early software.

Im glad this is fake... This was just a gimmicky concept that looks like it belong on the game cases of wal mart instead of the display racks of the Verizon, AT&T or Sprint Stores..... Completely ridiculous

With gingerbread's focus on creating a true and competitive gaming platform, combined with Sony trying to jumpstart the PSP again, it just makes sense for this to happen. I'm sure they're hard at work on developing a secure DRM style system to prevent massive pirating. Try as they might......

I'm excited to see how this turns out.

They prolly don't really even have any friends, Friends are so immature. How would they keep up there professional, gamer hating image with a couple of friends hanging around.

Android doesn't have the costs to develop on like other OS's and the people at Sony in charge of said project are really close friends to some of the people in charge at Google.
