Hello all. I agree with the understanding of not rushing Pete, but could we at least get a projected release date for v.5?

    Long live BB! dancedroid

Edit: I guess disregard. I see it's also asked here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/bugless/71115-bugless-beast-v0-5-a-2.html FWIW, I think this is an honest question. Why can't the people have a general idea of release timeline?

I'm not sure if Pete works alone or with a team to be honest, but I do believe he is the only one that would be able to provide a projected date. It's not that nobody here wants to give a date, it's totally up to him.

And lets be realistic, Pete is a pretty busy guy. He doesn't get paid for his work unless we donate. So really it's a hobby. I'm pretty sure he's still planning a V.5, but I know he's also working on stuff for the Galaxy and probably the droid X and who knows what other devices.

My advice? Enjoy V.4 or try out some of the other roms and just be happy when/if v.5 ever comes out.

Alright, so this is about the hundredth thread that I have seen on this topic and honestly it is getting incredibly annoying... and I'm not even Pete! He is a college student, has a job, has a girlfriend, has a family, and has a life! Give him a break and stop bugging him about when 0.5 is coming up. He has not forgotten us and is working on his next ROM, which I know will be amazing as usual. If you don't have the patience try other ROMs until 0.5 is released and then give that a try. That's the easiest remedy for impatience. I'm running SS 4.6 at the moment and extremely happy and content until BB 0.5 is released. (Which will come when it's ready.)

That's totally our fault because we donated him so much money and now he had to take a vacation to spend all that dough .

I do not expect to see .5 for quite some time, if ever. I've been following Pete's tweets and visiting his website and it seems he has stopped development for the Droid 1 ever since he got other phones to work on. Verizon has put the Droid to bed anyway so its only a matter of time before all developers quit working on this ancient 10 month old relic.

If Pete is still going to dev for the D1 then at this point he may as well skip v5 and move to a source based ROM.

I just wish Pete would come on the board and let us know his future plans, if any, for the Droid 1. : )

Watch his site for the latest news Peter Alfonso

    "
    Are You Prepared?
Bugless Beast V0.5 is making progress but not quite ready for release to the masses. On a lighter note, you should start preparing now. I have created a tool that will backup a few of the more important databases found on your Droid. Once you run this tool the following will be backed up to your sdcard in a directory titled "backuptool": System Settings, Browser Bookmarks, Call Logs, SMS/MMS, User Dictionary, and Market Downloads List. Please note, this tool does not back up your apps.

So what good is backing up these files if there is no way to restore them? Good question...Once you install V0.5 my ROM will automatically check if these files exist on the sdcard; if they do exist, these files will automatically be restored! "

I really like LFY! Very fast and smooth for me w/o a lot of bells and whistles. Virtually no FC's.

I am looking forward to BB v5 as well.

Eventually, but "Ancient 10 month old relic?" Wow...

These ROM's breathe new life into it. I love my D1 and I don't feel like it is ancient. It runs fast and I can customize thanks to these developers on here. :)

I will have my D1 for at least another 6-9 months. I am not at all unhappy about not owning a D2 or DX or whatever. I don't suffer from "Droid Envy," thank you very much! :)

As in life, there will always be something newer (though not always better).
