Well, to be fair, the 5x has been available for quite some time now and you PRE-ordered the 6P...Looking forward to what you think of the device, since I know fi doesn't have the coverage in my area at this point.
I like the 5X. I have 2 friends with it. I'm the only one with the 6P. I prefer the 6P. This little guy will be my Fi tester, then when I'm done, it's off to swappa.

Haven't paid for a phone in 10 years.
Not saying I will definitely buy yours. 32GB and no SD Card?!? Blech.
But I am intrigued.

We dropped company paid phones in 2008.

Are you expected to have company email in your phone?
No way I'd pay for my own. I use it for email, and even Remote Desktop sometimes to run a server or login to a users laptop.
If I was off and someone called me for help they would hate if I said "yea, let me find a WiFi hotspot and call you back".
Not using my data plan for that.
Or you're paying my an extra grand a year. :)

Nope. Not required to check email. We're on call but that's a pager rotation. I'm glad I left support role a long time ago.

I'm the only IT guy so yeah, on call 24/7/365.
Its totally worth it to me. Come and go as I please. Don't punch a clock. Get treated like an adult. Work 35 hours a week in the office. If I need to pick up my son early, I don't have to ask. I tell.
When I want to buy new hardware or software I say "we're going to do this". They say "OK". I don't have to ask my boss, who has to ask his boss, who then has to ask the technology committee in a dozen meetings....
I got it pretty good...and don't take advantage. Not all support roles suck. :)

I work 40ish hours, work from home, Fridays off, do what I need to do and leave. I've never asked, I just tell them when I take time off or am leaving early. I've never punched a clock.

So far not so good.

If I disconnect from wifi, I have zero cell service. Even cycling mobile data on off doesn't work. Full reboot fixes it. Also I'm on sprints wimax service which is horrible speeds.

Day two - I'm now on T-Mobile. Speeds are great but why do I get wimax sprint when it's crappy weather and fast tmo when it's sunny?

I'm in. Got Fi a couple days ago. All works just fine though data speeds around here with TMO aren't all that great (5/3Mbps), they are good enough for the little I'll actually use cell data. Sprint in this area is pretty much interstate only so it isn't a consideration.
Started with a Fi assigned number to ensure I would like the service. Then I ported my Verizon number over yesterday. That was about a 10 minute job start to finish. Now I'm waiting for my data only sim to get here and then figure out what I'll put it in.
The only part I'm not overly fond of is that I have to switch to Android.

Project Fi!
Of course it only works with Project Fi accounts. Data sim is free, no device fee, just pay for the data that both the phone and the device actually use.

Link should show on your fi page. If not, just do a search for it.

My project fi card is data and voice. It's both.

So you're going to use a tablet data only plan on your cell phone?
