    Hello all
    Opinion needed
I want to get into making my own apps and the only programming I have ever done is the ancient commodore basic. My question is
java the way to go, or visual basic, and what books do you recommend
    Thanks

I am in the same boat as you. After ALOT of research i have found that learning JAVA is easiest for me. I just started learning it as it is relatively easy. I had no knowledge prior to this but im getting there. I reccomend Java for dummies if you want something simple to understand but still thurough.
