Problems uploading files

Whats up ya'll. Im new to Droid, just left my bbstorm 2, which I loved and am now lovin my Droid Charge. Can anyone set me in the right direction for info on how to load files onto it. I tried to use the utility manager but it wouldn't download alot of my files. Do they have to be in a certain format? Thank you in advance.

welcome to the forum. glad u joined us. are u trying to send files from pc to ur device? if its movies then yes it needs to be converted. I se Astro file manager for most of my files
