Im having serious issues! I am in need of help! First of all I am rooted on DX 2.2. I have purchased bootstrap and rom manager. I thought I was successful installing a new rom ZapXRC2Final.zip I clicked on both backup Existing rom and wipe data and cache after it it went into recovery mode it seemed to have gone back to factory and I lost all my apps.I checked about phone and it just says 2.2 doesn't look like anything has changed besides..going back to factory which leads to another question how do i get the apps i paid for back? the other problem is that I downloaded bootstrap again and used the free rom manager and now I tried installing Birdmans FlyX v0.1 Final and now when after i click backup existing rom and wipe data and cache it restarts and gets stuck on the "M" logo and have to take battery out to restart......what have I done wrong?? Im just trying to try out different roms can someone please help me!!??

Try it again, and start from the beginning, Follow the stickied threads VERY carefully.

When you resync your phone and log back into your Google account, it should automatically redownload the lost apps.

I've not rooted a Droid 2 so I may be off base. Have you just rooted and is this your first attempt at installing a rom? Rom manager should download the selected rom. Once the DL is complete you tap the notification and the install process begins. You should have the option to make a backup and wipe (data and cache) after those selection are done the install finishes and the phone boots back up.

Your apps are associated with your Google account so when you reactivate and reenter your account information your apps will reinstall.
