Problems setting my volume to how I want it!

I had the first droid, and it began to break.. blah blah blah... so I got a new droid 2, and I can't set it to silent, vibrate, and ring. Like how do i make all 3 of those like an option... It either always vibrates or skips the vibrate option and I went to settings sounds but i don't know what things to click... I had it on my old droid so i know it's possible but if someone could helpp that would be greattttt! thanks!dancedroid

As of Froyo (Android 2.2) the sounds settings were changed so you can't go from sound/silent/vibrate like you could on 2.1...was your D1 still Android 2.1?

Really? Wow. Yeah it was a 2.1 but why in the heck would they change it... It makes everything so inconvient now??

No one knows why they changed it.
