Problem with the button row

So my settings key is starting not to work, before it would just redirect me to search but now it won't do anything, until I press it a lot. So I am thinking about calling about it, only thing is, my droid is rooted, can I still send it in if I unroot it and do a data wipe? Or what should I do?
